Seat
I promised I'd report back regarding my Mustang Lo Rider seat, so here I am.
Short version: Didn't like it.
It was definitely lower to the ground and more narrow than the stock ultra glide seat the previous owner fitted to my limited low, but it was nowhere near as comfortable. I know I was comparing apples and oranges since I was comparing a Mustang seat with no backrest against a HD seat with a backrest, but even with a backrest I don't think I would've liked the mustang seat. The Mustang seat reminded me a lot of the seat Indian puts on their bikes. I test drove a couple Indians and hated both of the seats, including their Roadmaster. That cupped lip in the back just doesn't conform to my physiology and I find it is constantly rubbing which causes a friction hotspot when I ride. No thanks. So now I'm back to the stock seat where I'm 100% certain at some point I'm going to drop the bike when I come to a stop since I can't even flat foot it, I guess the crash bars will prevent any major damage but man will that be embarrassing when it happens. As an aside, my wife also disliked the Mustang seat compared to stock. She said it was far too firm compared to the HD seat. Not sure how much a difference break-in makes since the HD seat is 2 years old compared to the brand new mustang seat.
Anyway, sent the mustang seat back and I'm back to my cushy Ultra Limited stock seat.

.. i think you'll find that making an SGS into an Ultra costs way more than taking stuff off the LTD
..... that said, if you really want a particular color, you gotta go w/the model it comes in.
............ i'd go w/the LTD, you may find the convenience such that ya never take the TP off

later if you need it . The tour pack you might not want all the time , but it's
great to have when you want it & a much more comfortable place for your
passenger to lean on .
