I would call Mean City Cycles, http://www.meancitycycles.com/ about modifying your seat.

I'm going to eventually send mine in to move me back a couple inches. They get good reviews on this forum. They can't be more expensive than a new seat.

I am going to try some boots that will give me a couple inches and see how that goes.

On the flip side, I don't need to worry about dropping it on the right side. I found out exactly how much clearance the bike has in a turn yesterday (not much) and ground down the feeler on the right floorboard . Oopsie!

I always take those darned things off as soon as I buy a bike with them, not least because it is too easy to scrape a leg against them in the garage.

Yeah, I thought I might lose cool points with my terminology but w/e, I'm secure in my manhood and status as a rider. I'll add more fuel to the fire: I don't have a single tattoo, all my shirts have sleeves, I have no clothes with the HD name or emblem, and I wear an aerostich suit when I ride . BTW, not to say there's anything wrong with having tattoos, etc, etc... Maybe someday I'll surprise the wife and come home looking like I just got off the set of Sons of Anarchy.

Congrats on the new bike... As far as Aerostitch goes.... Shouldn't you be riding a BMW? I'm sure it's in the Harley rule book that no Aerostitch suits will be worn. You must iron on some Willie G stuff, put on a bandana or at least a HD patch. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

I just traded my 07 RK for a 13 SG. I looked at the UL first but it seemed alot more top heavy. I searched around and found a SG with a removeable tour pack to give the wife a little more back support. I'm only 5'8'' and I put a HD reach seat on it. Now I can put my foot down flat.
