Default Bags for Baggers

O.K. I've seen the other threads, not sure if it helped or got me askin more.

Do'in some 2-up with the wife this summer and need a new tour bag for the FLHRC. Mostly 3-5 day trips. Will be mounting on the detachable luggage rack and pass backrest.

Which bag do the wisemen recommend?

A. GranTour Bag B. Ultra Tour Bag C. Full Dresser Bag

I'm leaning towards "B", not as tall as the Full Dresser. Although the full dresser will pack alot of stuff.

Pros, cons, whose got'em?

Thanks bros

Ez

I have B and it is awsome, lots of room, expandable and attaches nice and tight with all the straps and the velcro around the sissy bar, but you will need a rack if for 2-up riding

I have the GranTour bag and love it. For just me and long weekend trips, the GranTour is fine. If you're talking about up to 5 days for two people, I'd go with the full dresser. Also check out the T-Bags Lonestar. Very nice bag. I'm looking at one to compliment my GranTour.

I've only ever purchased one bag and it's the Full Dresser. Works good for us. Top is expandable if you need it. We usually save it for leathers/jackets as the weather changes. When I travel solo I put it on the passenger pillion with my rain gear strapped to the front and with the plastic liner inside the bag that holds it's shape it makes a dandy backrest.

We have C (Full Dresser) on my RKC ... for the most part we like it ... the bigger the better ... don't think for a moment that you won't fill it up ... you will ...

My wife and I just got back from a three day trip and it held "most" everything. We had to pack for cold and hot ... and on the way back we did have to bungee a couple of items onto the bag (it has rings to attach to) ...

We're off to Yellowstone and Sturgis this year (2 weeks) and wonder how we will survive ... kinda wished we had a tour pack and a large T-Bag to go on top of that ... (no, no trailer) ... maybe next year we'll get an Ultra Classic ...

I have B and have only used it twice. It works great for the two of us both packingfour changes of clothes and then some. When I was looking I thought I saw some dimension numbers and I think B is actually bigger than C. Not sure about A.

I`m watching this thread too as I`m looking for a bag.. I`ve got the stealth rack on my street glide and it sets low and close to the fender and saddlebags, so I`m needing something that`s got a hard bottom so it won`t sag and touch the fender or saddle bags..........
