Default Mounting Control for heated gear. Ideas ?

How or where do you guys with touring bikes mount your control ( Heat Controller ) for heated gear to your bike ?
I used to clip the control to the leather tank panel on my Dyna but the Roadking has a metal dash so not so easy to mount.
Thinking of fabricating a alloy or stainless bracket mounted from under the seat area some where that sticks out near the seat to clip the control to. Looking for ideas.

Plugin for the gear drilled hole and mounted the plug in the mid frame heat shield on left side and keep controller in pocket.

Do you already have the controller? if not i use a dual wirless one, works great only one wire to plug in and with-in reach for any adjustments...

Yes i have a dual controller. Looking for a better option than in the pocket with wires hanging out.

I got this controller from warmnsafe and thought about running a ziptie around it, then using velcro stripping to go between the ziptie and the unit and attach to the saddlebag guard in front of the saddlebag, near the seat.

My initial thought was to place near the handlebars, but the cabling is not long enough. I really don't want to drill holes in the air deflectors, and the guy at warmnsafe said don't keep it in your pocket.

Any other thoughts would be great. (Hope you don't consider this hijacking the thread).

If you could pick up a used side cover to use during the colder months you could drill it out and mount your contoller on the inside, have the two ***** sticking out the side/top, wires are out of the way and you could make adjustments on the fly.....
