I've been swapping out at around 15k with significant rubber left. That said, one of the plusses in trading up a couple weeks ago was the tires, I had 17k on them and was ready for new ones., thereby saving me $7-800. Good logic eh?

I had to change my rear at 15991Km. It was bald as a baby's behind.
I currently have 23000km on my front and it should last until I need another rear tire.

I ride solo with some gear.
29000km seams like a heck of a lot of km for a stock Dunlop!

From my experience, that's about normal for the front but I've never had a rear go over 14K miles before I replace it. The thing that surprises me in your case is that the rear is wearing out before the front. I've never heard of that happening.

I have over 22,000 miles on my OEM Dunlops (14 Road King), and they still have tread left.

Hi all. martin from Denmark Europe here.

Pickin´up a 2½ yr old thread by pithing in with my numbers.
I'm on a 2016 FLTRU that gets ridden like a raped monkey.. (Is there any treads for how many miles before having to change ground away floorboards ;-) )
We mostly ride two up.

Im at 17.500 miles now, and both the tires are getting closer to the wear-mark, and at the latest, I'm definately changing before this sommers vacation to southern europe.
Pretty damn good for a set of tires.

But are the American Elite as good or better?
