Have used the Chinese jacks, 1 Craftsman and this summer bought my J&S. Huge difference. Feel comfortable moving bike around if needed and not worried about storage this winter. Bike will be lifted and covered sitting on my J&S.

I've used a J&S for 10 years, c/w oil drain pan. The portability of it appeals to me. Safety is always a concern. Likely more experienced wrenches could get away with something cheaper.

My J&S jack came in today! Hey if others are comfortable with less I am good with that. I have worked with heavy equipment repair and sometimes you just don't compromise when it comes to tools.....and jacks.

This jack is all it is said to be and worth the coin spent

jack does fit tight under bike so, i ride up or push bike on to two 2x12's to make it easier to get jack under the bike. other than that, works great!!

I have a Craftsman 1500lb capacity motorcycle/ ATV jack. No worries. Never had a problem.

I'm sure the J&S is a good jack, maybe the greatest jack ever. But for $470. I can see why you guys have to justify your purchase and convince others to make the same mistake you made.
To some of us that are not in the bike repair business, that's $350 more than we have to spend for a jack.

Hey, you should see how people defend Snap-on tools! LOL! And, it's not quite $470. They have lots of sales, free shipping discounts, and discounts for veterans. I'm pretty sure I was about $415-420 to my door.

I had just looked it up on their sight, so was just going by that for a price.
