Default Advise; Road King fairing w/Quad 6.5

New member here, thanks for having me.
I would like to get some sound system advise on this new Quad 6.5 stereo system build.
This would be a detachable fairing batwing for a '03 Road King.

I would like to keep it simple Head unit (no CD), (4) 6.5's and an amplifier.
As of now after reading this form for hours my starting point:

HERTZ MPX 165.3 x4 (or would it be recommended to put two 6.5 subs?)
Amp not sure yet
Head unit not sure yet.

Thank you in advance

Glad you took it well. I hang in the motor related forum for advice on my build and have gotten way better advice in the topic specific forums.

I went with a Marine Bluetooth radio and 4 Polk 6x5" speakers in my Woody's fairing. It's super loud even at 80mph.

Cool

I have a Reckless that cost a $hit ton. Stereo is great after I spent two hours checking all the connections as at least 5 were loose and needed to be fixed. Also should be receiving my third front cover any day as the paint was terrible on the first two. Stay away from them is my only advise. Good luck.

Had a "Quadzilla" fairing on one of my bikes. It had 4 speakers (6.5")

Buddy had a fairing with 2 6x9 speakers in it. Much more bass with the 6x9's

That sucks. I was looking at a Reckless before I decided on the Woody's fairing. Glad I went that route.

Why people buy the King and throw a fairing on it and add a radio is beyond my level of comprehension. Just buy a damn SG or one of the other bikes where these are standard features.

For a variety of reasons. Long distance touring it's nice to have tunes and better hand protection afforded by a fairing. When back in town it's nice to remove the fairing and reveal the true road king. That and in order for me to buy a new street glide which is too low for my liking I would also have to purchase a new sissy bar and tour pak because I have those as well for my current bike. I also would hand over in excess of 20 k and my bike . No thanks. Hope this clears it up for you. Ride safe
