Who uses thier CB radio?

I think the vast majority of people that use their CBs is to communicate with other riders in their group. I don't think anyone really uses it just to listen in on say ch19 to listen to truckers idle banter like its a radio station and/or mp3s. Being in a HOG chapter the use of CBs to aid in keeping the group safe and together is very valuable. Very sad to hear that HD removed it from the 2017 models but to add it back you are going to pay upwards of $400.00 plus installation.
People talk about bluetooth systems but they are limited to a small amount of people you can communicate with, and the range is not as good as the CBs.

With the exception of the CVO touring bikes, and possibly some specials, CB's no longer come standard on the Boom equipped bikes. That said I use mine all the time when my wife and I ride together. I've got the GPS on my bike so I can give her plenty of notice for turns, lane guidance, debris on the road, etc.
If we're not riding together or I'm just commuting I don't even bother turning mine on.

I am a Road Captain for my HOG Chapter and lead and sweep rides all the time and use my CB all the time. My riding Buddy has a 17 trike and he put a CB in it that he had bought for his 16 RGU and we use the CB all the time whenn we are riding to let each other know when we might stop and a lot of things. I think the MOCO eliminating the CB's from the 17 bikes is the stupidest thing they have done in a while.
