Default Tuner Question

Is Power Vision the way to go if I plan on Cams and 103" in the future?

Currently would like to use it just to clean up the Stage I tune, MPG are between 33 and 38 and I have to kind of baby it to get 38. By baby it I mean easy off the line and between 72-78 on the freeway. Maybe it would take 65 MPH to get 43 MPG?

I installed the V&H FP3 tuner on my 2013 Road Glide Ultra. Went with V&H tune for what I have. Why not send an e-mail to V&H tech, let them know what you have and see if they have a map for your build. Watch some videos explaining the tuner. Could also down load the app for a FP3 tuner and do the demo load. Then uninstall the app if it doesn't workout for you.

Forgot to mention you can do this tune using your smart phone using Bluetooth.

My current MAP has a little pop on decel, bad MPG'S, and a very slight hesitation every once in a while. On the other side it pulls pretty good on the low end even 2 up, the top end is fine, and it runs fairly cool. It is a used bike and I'm not sure who flashed it or what they used? I would just like to dial it in more and be able to have some control over the tune. Obviously I'm considering FP3, PCV, PV, and SERT. Leaning toward PV because it seems like a good choice for Stage III and IV builds if I go that far. I'm also considering forking out the 5K to get certified to tune with Dynojet so it would make sense to use their tuner now.

I downloaded the app and used the demo mode and picked intake and exhaust that were on the list of options.V&H naked intake and crusher mellow slip ons.You can get a FP3 for cheap on eBay.$260.00 or so.Thats my direction.Im sure the other options are good choices also.

Go with the FP3! Awesome tuner, I have just scratched the surface with mine but I really like. Very user friendly, love the fact that I can access it through Bluetooth with my phone.

I had the Power Vision on my last bike and FP3 on this one. FP3 is much better as far as usability and the tune I got is dead on.

Any aftermarket tuner will probably do a better tune than a stage 1 Harley download. I did slip-ons and an ac and figured I'd let Harley dealer do a stage 1 download to protect the warranty. What a waste of money. I think it actually ran better before the download. I went with fp3 and love it. It gives me something to play with on my smartphone. Bike runs great with it. I just had to enrichen the cold temp a bit from the map I downloaded.
