Use this to enter the pin and start the bike (last section).

Then ride to a drug store and buy a new battery. No sweat at all.

Watch for it, your fob will usually show "Signs" that the battery is about to croak.
I replace my fob battery every 2 years at the anniversary of when I bought my bike.
I buy a sleeve of them off Amazon, keep an extra one with your bike, the rest hang in the garage.
Get familiar with the manual override. Don't be an idiot, program the code to something special to you that you will remember. Remember what it is intended to do. Sometimes when I move my bike around or take a short run on it, I use the code in place of the fob. Become as familiar with the procedure as you should be with regard to putting the kick stand down when you park your bike.

Agree on getting an owner's manual, as it tells how to use the security code to start the bike, as well as how to change it. Your FOB has to be working to change the code, though. Change out the battery regularly and know which is the + side.
I change my FOB batteries when I change the smoke alarm.
