I originally wanted a 2016 RGU. Just couldnt afford the payments. I got my 2013 FLHTK a few months ago. Wife would kill me if I told her I wanted to trade again. I do love my limited and have plans on upgrades next spring. Unless something major happens this will be my last bike purchase.

Great looking bike congrats!
My 2015 RGS is set up just the way I want it. Don't think I'd appreciate the loss I'd have to take.
Enjoy the ride.

I left a SG for a RG. Will never go back to SG. Nice choice.

I'm coming from a Dyna Switchback and recently test rode a 2017 Road King and loved it. I haven't test ridden a new RG/S yet. How would describe the ride quality difference between the 2?

Forgot to mention, OP congrats on your bike!!!

Seriously! ^^

If it wasn't for what I've got sunk in my '15, I'd be on a '17 RGS in a heartbeat.

Yes I had a 2014 SGS and went to the 2017 RGS and wow what a difference. The power this motor has amazing I only had a stage one with full exhaust on my 14, but the 17 has power from top to bottom...so much more fun to ride then the rushmores. Suspension could still be better, but it's a step in the right direction. I may have to break down and get a set of rear shocks and then the bike would be perfect.

I toyed with the idea of trading my 14 limited up to a 17. Then i Thought that for the 10k+ it would cost me, i could buy a second project instead.

Congrats on your new one.

I put about 5,000 miles on a 2013 SwitchBack and traded it for my '14 Road King. That switch was a huge improvement for me and wife as we go two up alot. The RK feels lighter on its feet, rides and handles better.

My motivation for the New RGS is to have something different. I was always a minimalist until recently, and now the RGS started talking to me.

I have only test Riden the new M8 RGS, not enough seat time to really answer your question but I appreciated the noted improvements the new power train offers.

[ OP, thanks for the hijack time ]
