This will work until the one foot down slips in gravel or oil and them down you go!

All part of rider awareness. Don't stop where footing is an issue.

Plus I didn't say he should cut his right leg off. I suggested that he get used to using his left leg to support the bike (which many will tell you is proper technique) to reduce the need to flat foot.

Regardless, it sounds like he already does it this way.

Get an 08 and up style bike, then install a seat drop kit and keep the stock height suspension. There isnt a lowering kit out there that will improve a ride quality. But your issue is inseam and 1 legged foot down at stops is a recipe for a fall, not if but when.

I agree, but sometimes you have to stop in an area with less than perfect conditions. Putting one foot down is a bad habit to get into.

I tried the Monroe Air Ride thing and with the shocks pumped up all the way it road great but with enough air let out so I can be flat footed around town I get a real bad clunking from even the smallest bumps, very unsettling. I tried 1" lowering blocks with my stock 12" shocks and changed the oil in them witch was the best ride and I could touch pretty well but having the blocks really bothered me so I took them off. I now have a set of Progressive 11.5" 412's and while the ride is good I still cant stand flat footed. I ride 2 up with the wife most the time and combined we weight about 360#. Oh and I have a Sundowner seat that a local shop trimmed the sides on for me witch helped a bit. I still have the Viair pump and rest of air ride installed on the bike in case I decide to try a pair of Blistein or other air ride shocks if recommended. Try different air ride shocks? Or should I send stock shocks to Bitchen Baggers to get reworked/lowered? Or???? Any advice/experience would be great thanks.
Take a look at Super Shox. I'm 5'5" and I've tried several different things to, but the Suoer Shox are the best so far. They sit at 11.5 inches so I can actually flat foot the bike. The shocks are adjustable. My wife has always complained about those rough spots on the roadway, but not with these shocks.

I concur. I have the same shocks.

Have your Sundowner seat modified by Mean City Cycles and you could get another inch.
