Bassani DNT, turned brown after 200 miles, called Bassani, no help

I sealed the connections from the head pipe and cross over to the muffs. I'll check again for a leak but there wasn't any leaks when I put it thru the heat/cool cycles.
I really like the way the muffs sound. A member PM'd me and suggested since the DNT cans are the straight ones to see if the stock CVO can heat shields will fit over them and hide the brown. I'll try that this morning.
