Lrs windshield
I bought an 8 in. dark tinted recurve windshield from LRS.I asked the salesman if the 8 in. recurve windshield would keep the wind off the wife and he said yes..I bought the windshield.. We ride an ultra classic limited..
The 8 inch. shield doesn't even keep the wind off of me and definitely does not keep the wind off my wife..
We are very disappointed in their salesmanship. There also wasn't much of a recurve on the windshield..
I will look elsewhere for the next shield.

Did you get the shield that is more square on the top? I think they call it the flat top. I got the 9" and my wife says it was definitely better than the stock, but she still gets wind.
I guess the good thing is they are not that expensive.
I would bet most of the wind you are getting is coming from below around the tank.
I had a Road King with the fang wind deflectors and had much less wind than I do on the Limited.

The recurve edge is very similar on all the shields.
Did you measure the right height as you're supposed to?
Unless you specifically gave the salesman your measurements, there's no way anyone could tell you that.
Second, are you sure it's coming over the shield and not from below?
Did you know, by reading the instructions in the box AND on their website, as long as you keep the plastic wrap on it, you can exchange it?
I have several LRS shields, 9 inch is perfect for my height.
My experience with them is nothing less than stellar.

2. If you're not happy sell it on here.
I'm 5' 10" and run the HD Hammock (rider version) and use their(LRS) 9 inch shields and am very impressed.
You really have to have the right fit.
Your windshield should fit you between the upper part of your chin under your mouth to the upper part of your lip right under your nose.
That way you can still duck in under your windshield if need be.
Make sense?

I too would recomend rechecking your measurements. You can't expect a shorter windshield to block/reflect more air than a taller windshield. The driver should be looking just over the top of it.
Which model did you buy, the elite or the flat top? Appears the flat top is more designed for 2 up
IMO, you get a very nice windshield for the coin spent with LRS
