Default My bike is a dust magnet!

What if anything can be done? I detail it and two hours later I can write my name on the bags and tank, this if I park it in the garage or in a parking lot. I've tried Lemon Pledge, which some say is a dust mag, so I switched to the honda cleaner with the exact same results. Do I just have to wait until summer or is there something which will repel pollen? I'm doing the "blessing of the bikes" tomorrow for the local memorial day run, about 500 bikes should be there. Just detailed it AGAIN, put on the cover and closed the garage door. Hoping for the best for the morning...

Same problem...I have a leaf blower that I use for the bike only. I move it out of the garage, blow it off and go.

Dust, let me tell you why i don't wash, cleanmy bike. I work for a printing Co. We have this bailing system that handles all the grind off the spine of the books that get perfect bound on the binding machines. Everyday i go to leave work my bike is covered in paper dust like you wouldn't believe. Looks like somebody threw flour all over my bike. I gave up last year trying to keep it clean. And let me tell you,IT DOES NOT BLOW OFF! [:@]I feel your pain. I have two choices, clean it or ride it, I choose to ride it. And no I ain't going through the hassle of putting a cover on and off everyday. [:'(]It still runs the same whether it's clean or dusty.

I keep my bagger in a big 6-bay shop and that thing's dusty the day after I clean it. I have a Kalifornia Duster to brush it offbetween washings.

OK guys - I have a Black Cherry '05 Ultra. Harley designed this color to show off every spec of road grime possible.

Can't go a few blocks without a buildup of dust, pollen, dirt, flour, sugar, plastic, .........whatever. And lets not forget the bugs too!!!

My routine is to "dust off my scoot" with an ostrich feather duster before I ride - takes about a minute and works well.

Neighbors must think I'm pretty vain -but hey, it is no different than having a clean classic automobile or sports car.

I have tried dozens of things recommended on the forum, by the stealers, body shops, detailers,...both cheap and expensive formulas.

After two years of experimentation, THIS STUFF WORKS THE BEST IMHO:

http://www.britemax.com/sprayshine.html

#6S SPRAY & SHINE
Final Wet Look Detail Spray

Anti Static, Anti Streak - Repels Dust
Non Greasy
Removes Dust and Fingerprints & Waterspots
Long Lasting Shine
Body Shop Safe

And you get a long lasting "wet" like shine. Can be used front to back - top to bottom. Less dust, less bugs.

Just trying to help out fellow forum members - I'm not a dealer or promoter.

You said dust magnet, not babe magnet right?

We all have the same problem....not much to do other than wipe it down or brush it off constantly.....and cover it.

No magic bullet here!!
