At this time of the year Pollen is abundant and appears that it's only purpose on earth is to seek out our bikes and cling to them...lol. I use a similar product to the Kalifornia Duster as mentioned earlier todust offthe bikebetween washings. If I actually want to wipe the bike down I use the Harley Gloss with a soft, clean rag. It's silicone based and anti-static compound helps to keep dust from clinging to the bike due to the static electricity created as the bike is moving. Unless I get caught in the rain I always use one of the two methods. However, our bikes were made to ride and let's face it...they're going to get dusty, dirty, pick up road grime, etc. Unless I get some hot tar/asphalt on my bike from fresh road paving or something else that needs to come off immediately, I just put it in the wind and ride! I'll give it a very good wash, wax and detailing once the riding season is over!

OK guys - I have a Black Cherry '05 Ultra. Harley designed this color to show off every spec of road grime possible.

Can't go a few blocks without a buildup of dust, pollen, dirt, flour, sugar, plastic, .........whatever. And lets not forget the bugs too!!!

My routine is to "dust off my scoot" with an ostrich feather duster before I ride - takes about a minute and works well.

Neighbors must think I'm pretty vain -but hey, it is no different than having a clean classic automobile or sports car.

I have tried dozens of things recommended on the forum, by the stealers, body shops, detailers,...both cheap and expensive formulas.

After two years of experimentation, THIS STUFF WORKS THE BEST IMHO:

http://www.britemax.com/sprayshine.html

#6S SPRAY & SHINE
Final Wet Look Detail Spray

Anti Static, Anti Streak - Repels Dust
Non Greasy
Removes Dust and Fingerprints & Waterspots
Long Lasting Shine
Body Shop Safe

And you get a long lasting "wet" like shine. Can be used front to back - top to bottom. Less dust, less bugs.

Just trying to help out fellow forum members - I'm not a dealer or promoter.

ok where do you buy this??

I use the Harley Gloss & aCalifornia Duster. I'm just about out of the Harley gloss so I'm gonna give the #6S Spray & Shine a try. I'll stop back in a month or so with a full review of the product!

I wouldn't say I was obsessed with keeping my bike clean & dust free but after I wash it I'd like it to stay clean for at least a day or two.

I've see many people pull up at a swap meet or at a bike night and once their parked, they whip out a duster and shine the bike. I see it all the time!

Yooper, when I started reading your post I couldn't help but laugh. I said to myself "this guy has got to be in Mich". I live in mid Mich and feel your pain. Thats why I bought a pearl white Ultra. That and the water spots from well water when washing. Which I do a lot cuz now you can see very stinkin bug that hits the front of it. I had street rods for awhile and swear by the California Duster. They make a small one that will fit nicely in the trunk. Oh ya..Honda polish on the bugs between washings
