This year may be a challenge; the hurricane bearing down on us is going to affect Daytona.
I went by the Cabbage Patch today and by this time last year most of the tents were up and portable stuff was in. Today it was like a ghost town with only the frames of some tents on the ground, and that's inland a little ways.
Hopefully this monster won't do too much damage so recovery will be quick!

If you like blues this place usually has a great band on the early night (the night before the first official day). It's near Deland.

Guys if the latest models are correct much of Daytona will not exist after tomorrow. Surge of 11 feet with 20-40 foot waves on top of that as the eyewall will be about halfway on shore skirting northward to Jax. Older construction and Daytona has never experienced a storm of this magnitude. Say some prayers for Florida!!!!
