Has anyone ever started their bike with the slip ons off? I know it may be a dumb question but what will happen?

I just took my slip ons off and mailed them to a forum member and I'm waiting on my new ones to come in (from a forum member). I'm just curious to how it would sound.

 

did it with my jap bike once... I am still waiting for my hearing to come back

i started my bike while I had my slip-ons off just to see how loud it would be. After about 5 seconds it was running like crap. I immediately shut it off & finished installing my V&H's

IMO do not ride with out something that will produce the needed back pressure. btw, I am NOT a wrencher by any sense of the term

 

Go ahead! But before you do, go to the store and buy a pair of Depends absorbent underwear and install them on your body. Open a cold beer, imbibe, and hit the start button.

Be sure to do this procedure in your garage to get the full effect. Rev freely. Toss Depends and shower.

 

I did it. It's not very loud at idle. I didn't rev it.

 

I did it and my neighbor came running outside . She thought it was thunder. I didn't rev it, for fear of messing up something. I'm going to the best sounding pipes on the market. (IMHO)
