Never noticed anything with my 8" lrs recurve on my 14 sgs. Will have to take a better look at it next ride when the suns out. Good point about the polarized glasses, have numerous polarized oakley's and just looking at certain car windows while driving I will notice a rainbow effect every now and then

Hmmm.....Same sun glasses with the stock Harley shield, no rainbow.
This was pretty bad. My wife behind me could see it.Dark swirl smack in the middle above the cross brace.
You would notice this... as in I bitched all day about it.
I washed it in hot soapy (dawn ) when I got home tonight.
I will try again tomorrow
And these are cheap sun glasses also.....

Cheap or expensive polarized, makes no difference. My daughter is an optician and with family discount my tactical wiley x cost $400. Didn't have the rainbow effect with Fast Aire recureve, but have it with the LRS Elite. Maybe LRS manufacturing process is different. Be that as it may, my line of sight is over the top of the windshield and therefore no big deal. Just sayin......

Wear those same polarized glasses while driving a cage.
You'll notice spots on the back factory tinted windows of cars, etc.
I bought 5 pair of prescription glasses total (3 for riding, dark, amber and clear).
2 nice pair of Ray Ban for everyday. All my sunglasses are polarized.
I had a ton of money leftover from my work flex spending account, use it or lose it kinda thing...
Big mistake IMO.
Polarized are good for the outdoors and the beach, but they suck for driving and riding.
Mine make tar lines reflective as well.
If i put contacts in (which dry out quick) and my Oakleys, all is fine.
