Well, coming to the "Touring" Forum to ask to be talked out of getting a touring bike, is like an alcoholic going to Microbrewer forum and asking for help to stop drinking

I went from sportster to electra glide and kick my self for not doing it years ago. The ride on the touring bikes is .................................................. ...................great

I went Dyna to King. Not one regret. I agree, if money works, I'd look at 14 - 16 Kings - Rushmore 103, better bags, linked ABS, etc.

In the US police bikes are cheaper. I got one, mostly because it was less expensive, and as tall guys love that cop seat.
