My brother said I see you eyein that Road King. (That's what he rides) I walk over, sit and it was decided as soon as my *** hit the seat. Fit me like a glove. Waited a long time for this bike and like everyone said, just get it. So I did. This thing handles amazing well for a big bike. I was shocked how well this bike rides. Only regret is I didn't get it sooner. Waiting on some pipes and I'm good to go. Hard to decide which to get.
I agree. It's the old, "if I'd known then what I know now". If I did know, there would have never been a Switchback, an Ultra Classic or a Street Glide in my garage. I like to have a second bike for longer rides or for cooler weather rides. The 2002 Fat Boy is my main ride and the first HD I ever owned. I'll never sell it. This 2001 low mile Road King that I just swapped my 2014 Street Glide in for is that bike. Finally!

Congratulations, I had an 03 RK with a detachable full fairing, no radios just the shell and a 13" windshield. That is a good setup for the highway rides. I would recommend Kuryakyn heat shields too.

Update;

Well I haven't been on the forums in awhile. I ended testing all the bikes out during my local dealers demo days. After it was all said and done, it was the shark (2016) that spoke to me. Never thought I would like or own a Road Glide, actually I hated them every time I looked at them. Now it's a love affair, I think she is a sexy little beast.

Had all the chrome removed and powder coated before I took delivery, road 6 customs 9" bars, fuel moto exhaust, and stock enforcer wheels powder coated by sport chrome. Added extended bags since these pics.
