I wish I would have called them. I was in Sturgis and talked to the Rinehart guys that were there and told them my 2 into 1 had discolored. In a very polite way he told me it was a tuning issue and basically I was screwed. The bike had been dyno tuned at the dealer. I lived with it and traded the bike in for other reason's later.
I do love my Rinehart true duals that are on my RKC. They have 117,000 miles on them now and still sound awesome. The heat shields look like crap and have rust on them but I still love the way they sound and perform.

I'd like to pass on details of a very good experience I had recently with Rinehart Racing. Four years ago I bought a set of slightly used slip-on mufflers for my 2012 Ultra Limited from a forum member. I got a lot of good use out of them over the years and they held up cosmetically very well, looking like new the entire time. Well, about a month and a half ago I got off the parkway on my way home from work and thought the bike was a bit louder than usual. When I got home I realized that one of the baffles was missing from one of the mufflers. I was a little annoyed that it fell out, but things don't last forever and it's not the end of the world. I went online and found replacement baffles for about $90. Before I made the purchase, I called Rinehart Tech support to verify the correct baffle part number for my mufflers. When I explained what had happened, they told me that the baffle would be covered under warranty. They initially said I could ship them back using a UPS prepaid label and that it would take about a week repair or replace them and return them to me. I wasn't too happy to lose a week of riding -- the NY riding season is short enough already without being grounded for a week, but alas, warranty repair is what it is and it's definitely better than paying for it. All they needed was the "serial number" from the mufflers. So I went outside and got the only number stamped into the bracket -- clearly a date code, not a serial number. I called back and spoke to Tech support again. The person I'd spoken to earlier was on another call but had mentioned to the guy I was speaking with that I'd be calling back with info. This in itself was unexpected as I thought I'd have to explain the whole story again. Anyway, I gave him the date code, and he said he'd ship me out a new set of mufflers and when I receive them I can swap them out and send the old ones back in the same box using a prepaid label. He apologized for my inconvenience and told me the replacement mufflers would carry the standard manufacturer's warranty of 18 months just as if they'd been a brand new purchase. Two business days later, the package arrived and I had a brand new set of slip-ons on my bike!
Rinehart didn't ask for a credit card or deposit on the replacements, and they gave me a new product with a new full warranty, even though mine were clearly out of the warranty period!
Thank you Rinehart for standing behind your products and providing excellent customer service!
