2002 RKC Primary Gaskets
My inner primary gasket is leaking. Took a while to figure it out and I know it is not the shifter shaft seal... I plan on doing it myself with a friend of mine. I was hoping tpo find a kit for it to replace all the gaskets and bearings or at least what is recommended.. Any ideas? I did look through the Service Manual but never got a clear idea. Any help?

The front has big o-ring the back seals for primary shaft & starter, also rtv on bolt bosses. If you have it apart change shifter seal & check big seal on trans behind pulley. Harley does sell a kit with new bolt locks & everything. Second time I had mine apart I changed the locks. Reused the outer gasket a couple times, I like high tack spray on both sides, hang from hanger let dry for few .

The process to "check" the main output shaft seal at the trans... Someone will correct me if I'm wrong... but the process is cumbersome (said having looked from one side of the bike through the "hole" to the other)...
Aside from the actual removal of the primary... quad seal, mainshaft oil seal, sprocket spacer... sprocket locker, sprocket nut (special tool), mainshaft bearing race, final drive gear (5th gear output gear) seal...
I mean the list goes on an on... all for an inner primary seal leak... While I am that type to go all in... I'd replace what is necessary then dive back in during winter months.
To the OP... now would clearly be the the time to make the primary bearing oil port conical. Also, there is a sealed bearing for your year which is an option.
Now... if you have your bike elevated... from under the bike... if you rotate the rear tire and see the belt jumpy, or there is any noise... I'd go all out but... while there is riding time... shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiii... I'd be in and out in no time.

Actually you can see if it's the main on your back with a flashlight. The back side will be behind pulley will be set and it likes to run to the outer across the bolt boss. If primary seal it will only be wet on primary side. I did not get the get so don't have number but priced it so know they have them.
