I use the redline heavy as well. I think it shifts smoother, less clunk...

I did the switch to Redline Shockproof Heavy in the tranny at the 1K service about 3500 miles ago and it seems fine. I can't say I notice much difference when it gets hot but it does seem a bit better then the Formula+ that was in it.

I put the heavy in mine early this spring. Love It!!! I had a really LOUD gear whine in 2,3&4 gear. Its all went away after the 2nd oil change. I know I waste money. I changed it the 2nd time after 5K just to make sure I got all the sin-3 out of it. LOL Dan

on Redlines web-site they recomend the Light-shockproof for HDs, it is the equivelent to 70-140.

After I switched 300 miles ago, I cant here a sound out of my gear-box.

Good stuff!
Careful with their Light - shockproof - I spoke with them and they said that they don't recommend it for the HD's box. Perhaps their web site needs corrected.

bike has only 5k on it,am going to try it one of these day. Resently was talking to a friend of mine who is computer eliterate so has not been swaded. He had a103 kit and geared cams ..ect He was excited to duplicate the chatter but I could not here it(maybe Im deaf?).Then he told me that he put "better" gear oil in trans and all the sounds there went away. Said some 07's are quiter and some are louder...Interesting i thought for someone that does not read.

Running the heavy in my Ultra for about 2k miles now, little less gear whine in fifth, shifts good.
