Default front motor mount

So I just replaced the front motor mount on my 2000 flhtpi...54000 miles... the old one had a split in it..problem is now I have a vibration when i rev it up...never had this before....it seems it only happens around 11-1200 rpm...everything else seems smoother...any suggestions as to why i might have this vibration??...BTW its a Drag Specialties mount...thanks in advance...

Hard to say. Maybe the drag part is too hard?

I do know that since your bike year, the replacement Harley part is made of improved materials, but maybe softer than the drag part? Just speculating.....

I have heard some claim they need to break in. I dunno. I just did velva ride.

Only does it at 11-1200?? Well they do shake like crap at idle.

70k, and mine looked fine. Must have been perserved with all the oil.

one of these videos shows how you are supposed to run the bike with the mount loose to get it to seat correctly. I haven't done mine yet but plan to this winter.
Watch the videos for how he did it.

I think its the last one on alignment

+1, run engine with mount loose, then tighten. works every time

The mount bolt is barely tightened as well. Too tight and will get more vibes. the glide pro video says, when using their nylon nut, like 8 ft lbs torque or something like that (memory is going)

Maybe that's what it is...the literature I saw said to tighten it to 35-40 ft/lbs....I'll loosen it up...
I rode in to work this morning and can feel vibration thru the bars and floorboards on the highway.....never had that before.....I'll want to reinstall my old one!! Are there softer compound mounts out there?? I'll loosen up that main bolt a bit and try that....thanx for all the responses guys....much appreciated!

Just looked at the glide pro instructions and says 12 ft lbs. they use a nut with a nylon insert. Not sure what your set up uses. Also, glide-pro says 500+ miles for it to break in
