Default Tire ideas; tell me whats working for you

I'm looking for the stickiest tire for an Ultra Limited. I'm not that concerned with high mileage. I tried the high mileage tires and found they don't have the grip/traction in wet conditions. It will obviously cost me more in the long term due to having to replace sooner, but I'd still like to try a really sticky tire. Any ideas/suggestions out there?

I have the Avon Cobras on my King. Very grippy in wet or dry and are quiet. Gives a very nice and smooth ride. I have the WWW, but also come in black wall. Use a PSI a little higher than the OEM.

I like Dunlop American Elite. Harder compound in the middle for longer wear when you're going straight, and a softer compound on the outsides so it's stickier when you're carving.

had Avon Cobras on the last one and loved em. This one came with brand new crappy factory tires so I am burning them off but Cobras are going on after.

I don't understand why you wouldn't re-up with the Dunlops that came with the bike. For all the tire analysis in this forum, I do not recall anybody ever saying they lost grip because they were riding on Dunlops or that another tire would not have lost its grip in the same circumstance.

Because there junk!!! You need to try a different brand and FEEL the difference! Metzeler or avon for me as they both work and stick great......
