Default Saddle Bags bar in passengers way

I've been looking for a solution to a problem with my Electra Glide UC ever since I bought it back a couple months ago. The bars that go around the hard saddle bags hits my passenger(mainly the wife) in the back of the legs. I thought I could remove them entirely, but have discovered that the VH pipes I have on the bike have a mount that is attached to the bottom of them.

I don't know if there is a way to move the bars, bend them in a bit, or move the passenger footboards up a bit. I guess at this point, I'm just hunting for ideas.

My bike is a 2007 Electraglide Ultra Classic.

Thank you everyone in advance.

I know they sell saddlebag crashbar eliminators, not sure what years they're made for.but it's worth a look.Google it and I'm sure you get the info you need.

Get some saddle bag support bars off a streetglide. They dont have the piece you are referring to.

Right behind the knee. There is an upper and lower bar. The upper bar protrudes out just enough that the bend right behind her knee is resting on it. She's always shifting her feet forward on the passenger footboards and she winds up kicking me in the back of my foot or sometimes when I am using the heel shifter, I wind up stomping on her toes!

EDIT: The bar(circled in the pic) is right where the back of her knee hits:

I know the they make a version called comfort guards or something like that. They have a different bend so the passengers leg doesn't hit it. They are stock on the newer bikes. I'm not sure if they make them for a 2007 or not.

Comfort bars are what you are looking for. For around 200.00 your problems are solved. Check the HD parts book.

The tour pack can be moved forward a bit(if it's not already there).......that may move her leg far enough forward that she doesn't hit it........get some floorboard extenders too....

$40 - money well spent for my short wife. Cleans up the look of the bike pleases me as well. Can get them in black as well.
