Harley also made the comfort style that had the proper holes for your saddle bag rails. They are discontinued now. I was lucky enough to find a pair of new old stock a couple of years ago. I'm attaching a pic for you.

I just ordered a set of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Baggerwerx-49...301785&sr=8-19

It says they will work with the newer bikes. I should have them for the weekend so I'll know soon.

A friend of mine moved the passenger boards up and bent the top of the bar back.
Have to look twice to even tell, they are on a ride to the east coast and back right now.

So I got the part I mentioned above and installed them this morning on my 2012 RKC. They fit perfectly and actually make the bike look better than the factory bag guards.

Hope this is useful to someone else who may want to go this route.

Awesome! I just ordered them myself off Amazon. They should fit my bike according to the years they listed and they certainly look like they'd fit.

Anyway, thanks again for posting this!!

Already done. It made a little difference but not enough. I've ordered different bars so I can remove the stock ones.

Thanks for the post!

Has anyone purchased the comfort bars and drilled to accept the wrap around bars? Mine in the way too for my wife and debating the $50 support vs $190 comfort bars vs the cost if ever drop. Part of me wants to clean up the look, part of me likes the classic look of wrap arounds. All of me needs wife to be comfy. The instructions from HD show the wrap arounds in context of entire line of options and it appears original bars just have a hole that use front and rear fittings to mate wrapped bars and screws.

Those are the bars I already have on my bike. The upper bar in front of the saddlebag is what hits my wife in the back of the knee. I purchased the bars that rprokop63 posted about. They were only $43 bucks. Now the only thing I need to figure out is, I have a HD leather bag that has a zip up compartment and a water bottle holder that mounts to wrap around bars. I'm sure I can "redneck engineer" something up.
