Saddle Bags bar in passengers way

I thought I could remove them entirely, but have discovered that the VH pipes I have on the bike have a mount that is attached to the bottom of them.
I don't know if there is a way to move the bars, bend them in a bit, or move the passenger footboards up a bit. I guess at this point, I'm just hunting for ideas.

Have you thought about raising the passenger foot boards up to a higher position? Might help keep her legs off those bars and its a cheap fix.
I dont remember if the '07 allows for that or not but the '09 I had did but its worth looking into. If you can, there will be three mounting holes that you can have those passenger boards in. They're usually mounted in the bottom so you have two adjustments to go higher and bring her feet up a little.

Nah! Harley likes to play it like every bike is unique to the model. All the same chassis in the touring line up. Pretty much everything will interchange to a certain degree. That's what's great about this forum. If you're unsure, someone here has tried it, and will give you the pros and cons.
