Default 08 rumors

rumor mill's in high gear! 08 water buffalo bagger announcement imminent. some say moco has paid off cycle visions and will produce road rod, but i think it will be a new, more traditional bat-wing fairing'ed vrod. all cycle visions brought to the table was a few brackets, a rear fender fascia, the the engineering time - moco may just blow them off and do their own thing. we'll soon see.

I'd love it if it were true, but people have been predicting Revo baggers for years now. If '08 is the year, I'll be first in line with money in hand.

Water buffalo? They're not really going to call it that, are they? I figured if anything, they'd reachtake out the Way Back Machineand call it the Hydra-Glide.

Check it out from the V-Rod group, I'm not sure how to post.

Change the tank and frame a bit and it don't look bad.

Water buffalo will never be used, that name came about many years back when suzuki built and sold their firt water cooled street bike. It was a complete flop, and you might see one in a museum.

That Suzuki was a flop in it's day, but just like the XLCR is now sought after by collectors. I saw a Shark-nosed V-rod up close in Impact Blue, the bike looked integrated, not add-on. I could see this being standard production, and with CARB 2008, a reality. The streamilned look is just in time to compete with the new Victory bagger coming out.

Compete with the Victory bagger? That butt-ugly thing? Harley surely can do a better styling job than that! I'd love to see a Revo-based tour bike sans V-Rod frame and ergonomics. Keep the drivetrain and shuck the rest. Give us a 6 gallon tank for distance, too. If it has the ergonomics, some style and brakes, I have a check and a pen reserved.
