Default 2017 Slip ons

Will the 2016 slip ons fit the 2017 models?

Wow. Guess they're taking this whole EPA lawsuit thing pretty seriously.

Oh good, here you are again with your "doom and gloom" crap.

PS:
The aftermarket company's didn't get their hands on the new '17 models any sooner than normal customers did.
When new engines come out, it usually takes the aftermarket a month or two to begin releasing stuff.

They had to go out and buy a new bike same as use, to being development.

V&H and Rinehart have both mentioned that new pipes are in the works, and hope to have them available by Nov.

Dealer near me had a 2017 on the floor with screaming eagle slip ons and a heavy breather on it already.

Provided that the head pipe (both sides) is smaller diameter than current slip-ons, how long before someone comes up with adapter sleeves to make them fit?

Don't think that will happen, companies will need to make new mufflers to fit the new head pipe.

In 2017, the cat was moved to the rear of the head pipe to reduce heat felt by the rider/pass. If you look close you will see the right side head pipe has a much bigger diameter where it fits the muffler v the left side.

The mufflers will need to have different diameters for each side of the head pipe.

The MoCo already has two (I think) aftermarket slip-on mufflers for the new M8 engine. But they are both (because of the EPA settlement) EPA approved. They may have a different tone than OEM, but they can't be any louder...

I'm sure the aftermarket will be all in, it will just take a few months. Like mentioned, most have not seen, let alone touched, one of these new bikes until a couple weeks ago...

Vance and Hines has a picture and part number up on their website now for the "Power Duels" head pipes for the '17 touring models.
