Default Air Scoop

Has anyone tried one of these on a twin cam to help cool the engine ?

http://travel-air.com/

Wonder if it works/helps with cooling while the bike is moving ?

I think if you are moving fast enough to be effective, that's not when the rear jug gets too hot. Likely some cooling at speeds, but I doubt enough to justify a) how freakin ugly it is and b) how much it will get in the way of your right leg.

And I would think with the lowers on that may hinder airflow......

Anyone ever play with installing a couple 12v fans off the sides of the intake and blow out the left side...aka Wards but hidden by Football cover plus not blowing to the hottest side of the bike?

1.) pushes the knee out

2.) could cause eddies which will increase hot air to intake with open back type hiflow/stage 1 air cleaners

3.) shovelhead era a metal scoop was sometimes used on teh left side- that woul dbe the place to add a scoop depending on horn/air horn etc

can't blame the guy for trying and for those with a closed back stock air cleaner it could be a plus.

if I saw one at a rally and could try it, I might be interested

mike
