Just curious, I know most of the street glide specials come with a painted inner fairing: what about the denim ones? Are they painted denim or are they the traditional plain stock ones that fade like all the bikes had back in the day?

 

It looks like it's molded not painted. I could be wrong.

 

All of the SGS have a shiny inner fairing and yes it is a molding process that gives it that painted look. The denim bikes have just a stock inner fairing that may or may not sun fade over time.

they shiny, on a molded part comes from the finish on the mold its self...it would have a polished mirror finish and it would produce that nice shiny part ...i mold stuff for a living

 

I want to cover my inner fairing with leather

 

That's cool if you are a fair weather rider. But if you ride in the rain much you could end up with mold problems. Even if you "waterproof" it, that really only means resistant.
