Agree with Beemer. Just because you make eye contact don't mean nothin. I know from experience. They will stare right at you and still pull out sometimes. I watch the front tire. I will start making sure I watch the top of the front tire.

 

the problem i am seeing and you all are to, is that everybody is in such a hurry to get were they need to be. they dont care what is around them or what is in their way. i drive all day in a company vehicle and i see this all the time. when i am on my bike i drive offensively and defensivley. you almost have to predict what that driver is going to do. watch their heads, their mirrors. get up next to them see what they are doing. i never ride in their blind spot. i want them to see me. actually pulled up next to some people and revved the engine. going down a 2 lane road i actually ride near a car either in front or rear. what this does is that if someone is going to pull out on the road from a side road they have a better chance of seeing that car that is in front or rear than seeing me.
