Default To Touch or not Touch? (see video clip)

How stern are you about others touching your bike? or sitting on it? I catch everyone feeling the wrinkle Powder Coating all the time and I don't mind. but I damn sure would not like catching anyone sitting on it that I do not know as a FRIEND.

Must see this clip!

It depends on who you are.If I don't know you then keep your hand off and I'll do the same for you. Most people do ask before they touch.

I really don't mind. I have offered to lend my bike to all my good friends and none of them have taken me up on the offer.
If you get too possessive with your hog, well lets just say that Sigmund Freud would embarrass you in front of the whole class.

usually you never ask to touch another man's (woman's) bike. What's there to "touch"? Chrome feels hard, rubber is softer, and hot pipes burn you!!!!!

One may ask to sit on my bike (to see how the seat feels), but you'd better dam well have a bike similar sitting there too!!!!!!!

If it's a freind I don't mind, or if it's a pretty girl I'll make an exception there too.

Na...I wouldn't go that far with my own boy.

He's 5 and knows enough not to touch it.

If it's someone else though - uh, yea, I'd probably go that far.

As with the others, there are caveats...a fellow rider that I *trust* can sit on it - some ah'll even allow ta ride it (damned few).

Joe Schmuck off the street? NO way - they have NO idea as to how ta properly mount a bike usually, an' what do ya do if they mess something up? Don't need that hassle...

[sm=forgetit.gif] She would have to be HOT! ...lol Even then, maybe....I had an aftermarket alarm on my last bike with a proximity warning if someone was close enough to mount up and didn't have the manners to ask first.
