That would be a tough choice for me as well. However, for a short stay with an ill sister, I would like to enjoy that stay as much as I can with that sibling. The car it is for me.
If I had a an extra day or a few more days to visit, then the bike would be a no brainer.

Tough choice. If you go by bike get to bed early the night before and make a very early start, so you have a long day ahead in which to take regular and frequent stops. To be frank you're planning this too late, as your starting point for a long trip IMHO should be installing new rear shocks and a seat you can enjoy not endure!
Having said that I side with RKZen, this is too important a trip to subject yourself to misery; your sister wants you and your comforting, not to be distracted by your discomfort.

Seats not that bad & the shocks are not that old (Gabriels DIY). For the most part the bike is comfy. The stopping & walking would be the best. Won't be the Corvette that I go in (have not gotten it running, I think some mice got the fuel pump wires). My brother lives in KC Mo, so I could take that rout & stay over night with him, that would be a 600 mile with a 200 the next morning. Thanks again for the responses.

For what it's worth, I have a sister who just made me an uncle again, so I took two days off last week to bomb down south of Colombus Ohio last week and meet my new niece.
Almost 700 miles each way, I took the bike and after 12 hrs in the saddle I was good for about 3 hours before I couldn't keep my wind burned eyes open anymore. Got up the next morning and made the trek back. 5 hours of this day was in the rain. In a sick twisted kind of way, it was enjoyable, but I was pretty piled up by the time I got home.
