I recently purchased the mustang wide touring seat. Not sure what the deluxe is. Mine increased the height of myself on the bike by about a 1/2"-1". Maybe because of the wide seat. Much better than the stock seat (which the wife hated). She loves the new seat. From what I can tell you, you can't go wrong with the mustang seat.

Thanks .The deluxe must be fairly new . Not finding many with it .
The stock seat is terrible . my wife's main concern is heat . Coming
back from FL in July we decided it was time to buy something different .
I had MCC mod my last seat , but want to go another way this time .

My seat fits me much better than the stock one did. The big factor is that the wife likes it. See if any place around you has the mustang demo seats. That could make things work good for you.

That's my main concern is getting the wife happy . The deluxe
looks to be wider in the driver area than stock . Plus it will move
me back about about 1 3/4" . I'm wanting to try a ride sitting further back .

The wide touring kept me about the same as stock. Wouldn't mind a bit lower, but don't want to be on the tank. Lower and back a little Willis have been perfect. Not so much as to lose passenger space (wife would be pissed).

Mustang told me the Deluxe wouldn't raise me,
but it would move me back 1 3/4" . I wouldn't
mind a little lower . My wife's main concern is heat .
Mustang also told me the seat should not be as hot
as a stock seat . From what I've been reading it sounds
like any pattern in the cover & not just a flat seat should
allow more air circulation therefore being a little less hot .

FYI - the height difference will depend on your stock seat height, which have varied through the years. You will sit lower on a seat on a 2009 FLHT than on the same seat on a 2013 FLHR, for example.

I've looked at the Russell more than once .
I just don't know if I can get past the ugly .
