Default Milwaukee 8 Ride Comments

A buddy of mine demo-rode the new M8 Road King today at the Kansas City Plant Open House. I plan to do so tomorrow, weather permitting. Anyway, here's what he said:

"OK the new 107 is a completely different animal than my 103. There is hardly any vibration at idle, It Builds power completely different than the twincam. Very linear, absolutely no flat spots anywhere in the power curve, feels more like an inline motor. Doesn't really feel like a Harley. Lots of power very smooth very fast, goes like stink, will run 110 really easy but I don't know if I like it alot better than a 103, I wouldn't rush out to buy one."

He rides a 103ci Road King, a 2016.

it won't run 110 easy or at all, its speed limited to 107.

First year model always has bugs. I am sure they will sell a lot to the faithful. Are you going to buy one?

No it's not limited to 107. It's limited to 107 in 5th gear, not 6th.

Not me. I just got my first Harley 2 months ago and I'm loving it. I figure on keeping my Road King for at least 4-5 years.

Feel the same after my test ride.Suspension felt a little smoother but engine just didn't do anything for me plus engine is plain ugly with those fat cyl. heads compared to previous Harley engines.JMHO

I was not aware that you could actually order a new Harley spect out like you want from the factory. Is that something only Calif dealers do?
