2017 Milwaukee Eight dyno testing & information
#772
Here are some various images comparing the OEM Milwaukee Eight 55mm throttle body to the Screamin Eagle 64mm throttle body. A couple points to note: the OEM throttle body uses a composite/plastic manifold where the SE unit uses a cast aluminum manifold that is considerably larger. They both have 1.800" inlets. Like other SE TBW throttle bodies the M8 64mm unit does not include the map sensor or injectors which must be swapped from the stock unit.

Jamie,
What level of modification to the engine do you think the throttle body will need upgrading? Cams, cams+heads or big bore kit?

Dyno results - 2017 Road Glide, stage3, FM 2-1-2 header, TTS custom tune
Hey Folks..
Just thought I'd share some new/interesting dyno info I don't think I've yet seen come through on the forums.
I have 2017 Road Glide Special with the factory stage 3, TBR slip-ons, FuelMoto 2-1-2 header, and a custom TTS tune via RC cycles and BobH here in the SF bay area. Great shop by the way..and Bob is very good.
Results... 121hp and 127 torque. Torque curve is very strong off the bottom. Very useable power across the RPM spectrum. Pretty awesome in my opinion when considering the factory stage 3 numbers are likely around 108hp 112tq based on what I've seen(no I didnt run a stage3 baseline). A lot to gain by adding the catless header, good slip-ons, and a good TTS custom tune via dyno tuning session. I gained 8hp and 7lbs of torque via just the FM header. So yes.. that cat does hold you back at this level. And..the heat reduction is incredible. Bike is very fast. :-}
Also, it only takes about 1.5-2 hours to switch back to the catted header and drop the factory stage 3 tune back in...if you need to. Pretty cool...
