People call us ,that bought 17's guinee pigs and beta testers. The real ones are the ones that hook the PV up and flash that ECM. Im not gonna feel bad for em when they come on the site bitchin the dealer or HD told em to bad. Mines put away in the box from my 11. Maybe Ill bust it out in a couple years when my warrantys out. Id like to use it ...I got nothin against an improvement....but losing that warranty aint worth it to me. People gripe about the price of these things nowdays...well thats part of that price you paid for the bike...two years covered head to toe exceot expendables...and violating it these days means you paid for it and thew it in trash. Untill we know positively dealer wont know you flashed if you put the stock calibration back in...which nobody in the know thats involved in sellin us these tuners has answered yet that Ive seen....Ill sit back and watch...JMO

Once again, the warranty issue rests a lot on each individual's relationship with their dealer. Some dealers follow it to the letter, others, like mine, have bent WAY over backwards to accommodate customers and fixing stuff on warranty they could have denied. Maybe it's time for some folks to switch dealers..

You joined the forum a month ago settle down and do some reading before you start spouting off. Most dealers with a decent reputation and a good relationship will turn a blind eye when something goes wrong with the ABS that has NOTHING to do with the stage one they have.

Not hating and if I was in the market for a new HD I would look at the M8, but the difference between these two are so very minimal it makes me happy to keep the 103ho for a while. There might be more potential out of the M8 but there is also more potential out of a 120R. Apples to apples the 103 HO and the M8 are dang near identical in power it seems.
Alot of people have been asking about the differences and potential of the M8 vs earlier models, we really like the new M8 but there are not big changes in the power department, at least in stock form. The M8 is a great platform with an assortment of improvements over earlier models for sure, however stock vs stock power wise there are not considerable differences between the 107 Milwaukee Eight and the 103 HO Rushmore engine, about 2Hp & 3Tq.
The dyno chart below compares our completely stock 2017 Road Glide Milwaukee Eight vs our completely stock 2015 Road Glide 103 HO. Both tests were done after the dyno break in and were 5th gear runs. (Note 2017 bike hits 107 MPH speed limiter)

We have no control over that situation.

Wrong! Ive been a member since 2007. Do a search of just the member name Glyder. Thats me...had to change my forum name because of some forum glitch...So go take a long walk off a short pier. Ive got a right to voice my opinion here as much as the next guy and do plenty of reading, research wrenchin and ridin.Been around Harleys all my life. Own a 17 and a PV bought from FuelMoto so that makes my concerns valid enough to voice my opinion in this thread. Would like to do some mods besides what HD offers but aint worth the risk to me..Ive done it to every one Ive owned so far except this one. Same thing goes for my dealer. They used to offer and carry other manufactures parts and pieces. No more. Nothin but HD stuff .Maybe you oughta do a little more reading and reasearch on the agreement HD made with EPA and the penalty to a dealership for not complying. Like to see what happens when you go into a dealership with a 17 non compliant bike with some Jackpot headers ,mufflers and and a flashed ecm with an ABS problem where theyre going to hook up to ithe ecm to scan it to figure out the ABS problem. See how that goes for ya. I talked with my dealership extensively when shoppin for my 17, which is not just one dealer but 3 of them, and was told thats the way its gonna be basicaly here on out by all three. My best friends wife is the service manager for the dealership I finaly decided to go with to get mine so I got a little extra info and education from her to. So now thanks fior the lecture. I learned something from it. Not!!

It all depends on the customer-dealer relationship, we supply tuning products and exhaust systems to over 100 H-D dealers thruout the USA. We have dealers already running PV beta on 2017 bikes and a waiting list on our exhaust systems, so it all comes down to the individual dealer.

What used to be your warranty relationship with your dealership might be totally changed at the last dealers meeting where the 2017's were revealed.
I believe all the dealers have been giving new marching orders that were required by the recent EPA rulings and fines to the Motor Company.
No matter what used to be the situation, things might have been changed.
