2017 Milwaukee Eight dyno testing & information

On paper it doesn't sound very good does it. I get the flat torque curve probably makes for a strong pull..................................
Not that I don't think the new bikes aren't noticeably better than a stock Rushmore. But different shocks and an emulator up front is hardly a giant step forward. I already have that stuff on my bike.

It's funny, I have been reading this stuff on this forum since MOCO came out with the 96 in 2007. Yet, while a 2007 Vivid Black Harley looks almost identical to a vivid black 2017 to the average person, very few parts (if any) are interchangeable. I'm convinced that even if Harleys had the suspension you wanted, you wouldn't give them credit.

That said, I like my 2014 SGS quite a bit. I have put a lot of money into it to make it fit me, as well as run and ride the way I want it to. It truly is the best bike I have ever owned and currently, the best bike for my needs. I don't feel a burning desire to trade it on a 2017 even though I'm sure it's "better".
Anyway, lately I've had an itch for less weight, more power, and a better suspension. The new bikes aren't all of that to the extent that I need them to be to make a change. Thus far there isn't a bike made by anyone that has all of that, that I like, or that fits me while maintaining all my other "needs". My hope is that Harley makes a new Sport Glide. I would love to see 100hp/110tq, less weight.....even current Wideglide weight is fine, and 5 inches of suspension travel. Rest assured, if they produce that, I will sing their praises from the rooftops. But until they do make the bike that fits my criteria, I'll probably hang onto mine because it's a great bike. Or if they come out with that new frame in 2018, and it's as good as I hope it is, maybe that will be a consideration. We'll just have to see. But I appreciate the current efforts, rest assured. Evolution, not revolution.
