My 07 Ultra seems to like it at 2200 RPM and above, below that it feels like it is lugging.

My 07 Electra Glide Classic likes to stay over 2000, anything below that is lugging(except 1st of course).

Usually rev to 3000 before up shifting, sometimes higher if I want the sound.

No tack on my RK Classic. But I never lug my engine. I always downshift to keep the RPM up.

i was having a pinging problem and when i checked with the dealer he said i should be running it over 3000 -3500 rpm your not going to hurt it , tested it and it do make a differance
