Default where to buy tires??

I just switched over from a sporty to an '01Road King and looking to put new tires on it. Where have you bought your tires? I am thinking about going with metzler 880's??? I want to buy my tires somewhere that is reliable and knows what they are talking about. I would prefer they accept paypal....Any suggestions?? THANKS

QT - do you install your own tires or have the dealer install them? I am not sure about Harley, but for my Honda if I bought tires at a discount place many would not install the tires - due to liability is whatI was told. They just wanted to make the sale at full price is what it boils down to.

I just bought a set for my wife's sportster from Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse: mawonline.com
They take paypal and they have great prices. I've purchased tires from them in the past.

BTW: I also went with the MEtzler 880's. Great tires! That's what I always use for replacements.

I have changed them myself and had them changed atindependent shops in the past. Never a dealer, they charge way too much. There is a local independent shop here that says they will replace and balance a tire for $35.00. That's with the wheel taken off by the customer.I haven't had a hassle about bringing my own tire for them to replace except for the "we don't like to do this, but...", routine. I don't know if there is a liability issue with bringing your own tire in. If it's a Dunlop or Metzler, I can't imagine what the issue could be. The tire would come from the same place as the ones they get. I believe you are correct when you say it's a money issue.
