Default Rockout Inserts and WHAT ELSE??

Hello All,

I am ordering up some Rockout Inserts and am wondering what other work/projects I can do or should do while I have the assembly out.

Thanks in advance!

First off.... thanks

Some guys replace the breather assemblies while they're in there, because.... they're in there. They cost about 10 bux each I think. If you have the old cast style breathers & upgrade to the new stamped steel models, YOU MUST USE THE BOLTS THAT ARE FOR THOSE BREATHERS. They are shorter, using the old longer ones will cause damage.

Oh, and make sure your front plug wire isn't rubbing on the tank.

That's about it. It you need any help or have any questions just holler.

John @ Rockout

Blow oil out of all the bolt holes before installing everything. Definitely upgrade or install new breathers.

while you have the rocker covers off, go ahead and do a good polish on them. they are much harder to reach on the bike.....

Drill oil drain holes out to .125 inch. That's 1/8 inch.
On my 2007 Ultra. I replaced cams with Se255s. Umbrella valves. SE adjustable pushrods. S&S lifters. And. Rocker lockers. All these mods made a world of difference. Most quite valve train noise.

Thank you very much for purchasing my Rockout kit.

Lifters are kinda like oil recommendations... you'll hear a lot of different opinions. For me it's hard to beat S&S standards, you just never hear a bad comment about them.
