Default Tall Riders in the Rain

I have a 32 inch inseam and I find that when I sit on the bike, there is no way my knees are going to be tucked behind the fairing lowers on my FLTHK. Been caught in a couple of sudden rains and find that the my legs get soaked really quickly. The guys I ride with are all on Goldwings and they aren't getting hit as bad in the rain behind those big 'ol fairings so they don't want to stop and put the rain gear on as quickly as me.

Anyone seen anything that mounts to the top of the fairing lowers to provide some extra protection?

I tuck my thighs to the tank- that helps.

another tip is stretch a bungee across your mirror stalks and hang a rag over it to collect the spray coming up from below.
I store both in my fairing lower glove box

In real heavy rain I tuck right up into the windscreen

Ride with a different group of friends.

I have a 32 inch inseam. I just installed Fairing Factory 14-up vented lowers on my 12 SERG. I also have Kuryakyn foot boards relocator brackets installed (1 inch out 1 inch forward). When I have the block off plates installed I stay really dry. Well, legs anyway, upper body not as dry as when I had my Electra. I'm getting pretty quick about putting the rain suit on these days.

I ride alone, and stop when the sky gets dark, and put my rain gear on. I have ones that come in tall.

Have you communicated your issue clearly to your friends? If you have and they don't want to stop, get new friends.

Stop when you want and pull on rain gear.....If your "goldwing friends" don't stop and wait for you, maybe it's time to ride with other friends or ride solo.

I'm sure these so called "goldwing friends" just pull into any/all Dairy Queens for ice cream without asking you !!!
