Three wires on a 2014... Red goes to battery fuse (voltage read). Black/Green is ground. Violet/White goes to the IM to the HD-Link Output connection (that is what throws the low voltage light)

You are a little low..maybe fine for idle. What was it at 2000 RPM. That is the test standard since it varies as rpm goes up.

Great postings, and a lot of help. I have a question. Last week, I got home from a 2000 mile ride, in the last 50 miles, I hit a downpour, rode through it some. After drying out, my voltage meter started the going up and down with the check engine light and battery light coming on. I ran the diagnostics and the High Voltage, Low Voltage codes showed as well as over charging and under charging components.

I changed out the Voltage Regulator, tested the system and it idles at between 13.9 and 14.1 depending on when I test it. However, it doesn't go much higher when throttled. Should I be concerned?

You need to go the the control panel in the forum and create you a signature at least what your bike is.... year model code letters.... No one can answer that without know your system. For all we know, you have a Trek Moped.

As a general rule battery voltage, tested at the battery terminals, should be right around 14.2V at 2000 rpm.
