Default Tranny Noise?

I recently purchased a 05 FLHTCI and have noticed a whining noise when running in 4th gear I do not notice in other gears. Is that normal? I understand with the new 6 speed transmission that 5th gear is straight cut but don’t know if that is the same with 4th on the 5 speed. I also have to admit running the bike in 4th gear at about 70 – 75 MPH while not paying attention at Myrtle Beach Bike Week last weekend (I was paying to much attention to the other bikes running around me). It was running at around 4K RPMs, which I did not think would hurt it but as you can tell I am mechanically challenged. The bike runs find and the noise seems to be consistent and uniformed. Again is this normal or did I screw something up?

Thanks!

Same thing with my 05 Fatboy... no big deal.
I wouldn't be running 4K all day in fourth though, not that it will hurt it.
