I did my first track day this year and loved it (not on HD). You learn a lot being able to just let loose and challenge yourself to work on your riding skills. Many track day organizations also do "non-sportbike days" for those who are intimidated with faster bikes around though unless the organization limits it, it really doesn't matter much.


I recommend it to all. If you think your a good rider, it'll put you in your place as its sobering how much better the regulars are.
