Big thanks to Howard at moto metal for helping me out with my ohlins shocks. Long story short if u didn't read the previous thread-one of the preload collars seized up on one of my ohlins hd159 shocks. Me being a complete dumbass decided I would force the collar and clear the damaged thread, ended up completely trashing the shock body. Howard made a call to ohlins and they fixed my shock, replacing the body and spring, completely free! While I didn't buy my shocks through Howard, I greatly appreciate him helping me out. I will make damn sure this doesn't happen again and pay much closer attention maintaining the shocks.

Very satisfied with ohlins customer service, they received the damaged shock Wednesday and had it fixed the next day. Total down time was exactly one week until I received it back bc I refused to ride the street glide with the stock shocks back on

 

That was the right thing to do. For allthe people that trash the guy he did you right. Glad it all worked out.

 

Glad things worked out for you in the end. Keep in mind Howard can customize off the shelf Ohlins for you and your riding style.

Reading stuff like this makes the decision to call Howard easy. Shocks will be my next purchase, and I will call Howard when I'm ready.

 

I just got my 2-2B from Howard. Only have a few hundred km on them but the difference is amazing!


He was great to deal with. I've been tossing this around for a couple of years and he gave great info about all my choices and never pushed me into anything that was out of my budget

 

Those are the ones I bought as well from Howard. I can't get over the improvement in ride over my stock 12" shocks. The best bang for the buck if you are willing to give up having adjustable damping.

 

Quit talking about Ohlins shocks!

My job is very slow this time of year and I get bored, damn near called Howard for a quote on a set of 3-4's, I know my wife won't kill me she understands and knows what a good suspension setup can do, but I know she won't be happy if I drop a grand on shocks.
