how do you get a japanese sportster pulley? I did go down 2 teeth on the front pulley now my belt is installed and at the end of the adjustment cams on the axle and belt is on loose side. does anyone make a rear pulley that is two or three teeth larger than stock?
or is that the japanese sportster pulley.

I've got the 68T sportster pulley and a 30T front pully, and most of mounting bolts (rear pulley bolts, front pulley retaining clip, bolts, and main shaft nut). I was going to do a 30T/68T conversion on my '07, but I bought a 16 instead. Would be willing to make you a good deal on the package. Let me know if you want some or all of what I have. PM me.

There are very few alternative sizes of pulley available, for both front and rear, they are almost like hens' teeth! We don't have unlimited options with our belt drives.

I am finding out the pre 08's had a bolt on pulley. the 08's have a one year only design. and the 09 touring with the wider rim have the cushdrive built right into the rim. 08 will not work with the bolt on 07 and earlier nor with the 09 integral cush system. thanks for the info and the offer. I dropped two teeth on the front pulley and have to use the only thing available (stock rear) and go to a two tooth shorter belt. no chain drives for this geezer. thanks for all your help on this.....I do appreciate it.

I have an '08 Road Glide, that I just made this change on.
I used:
Part# 40518-08 Sprocket assembly, 68T, Blk, JPN.
Cost $180.79 from New Castle HD. I also purchased new isolator bushings and the bearing.
It will throw your speedo off a couple mph, but you can still use cruise with no prob. You can also retain the stock belt. If you also change to a shorter front pulley then your cruise will not work without using a tuner that can reset the speedo. I think you can use the TTS Mastertune, to change the speedo back and retain the cruise.
